Meetings
Monthly meetings of Victorian GUM are held in Melbourne,
usually alternating between Tuesday and Wednesday nights in
the city, commencing at 6.45pm. Several meetings and
seminars are held on Sundays so our country members can
attend. Dates, venues and topics are announced in these
web pages, in the VicGUM® Newsletter and on
the Notice Board at the GSV Library. The monthly meetings
usually include reports and views from the committee, formal
presentations by members or guest speakers, and a casual
forum for discussion and exchange of ideas amongst the
members. All monthly meetings are open to VicGUM® members,
visitors and prospective members. The Annual General Meeting
is held in August.
Workshops/Training Sessions
GUM is extensively involved with conducting lectures,
workshops and training programs related to computers and
family history research.
As well as the normal monthly meetings, a number of
workshops and courses are run by VicGUM®, including some hands-on
computer courses.
To find out more about GUM's workshops and how to get the most out of them read the GUM Workshop FAQs document.
