Meetings

Monthly meetings of Victorian GUM are held in Melbourne on the second Sunday of the month, commencing at 2.00pm. Several workshops/training sessions are also held with worshops usually on the fourth Sunday of the month. Dates, venues and topics are announced in these web pages, in the VicGUM® Newsletter and on the Notice Board at the GSV Library. The monthly meetings usually include formal presentations by members or guest speakers. After meetings tea/coffee and biscuits are available and offer a casual forum for discussion and exchange of ideas amongst the members. All monthly meetings are open to VicGUM® members (non members pay $5.00—but can join on the day). The Annual General Meeting is held in August.

Workshops/Training Sessions

GUM is extensively involved with conducting lectures, workshops and training programs related to computers and family history research.

As well as the normal monthly meetings, a number of workshops and courses are run by VicGUM®, including some hands-on computer courses.

To find out more about GUM's workshops and how to get the most out of them read the GUM Workshop FAQs document.
