Notice of Annual General Meeting
Tuesday, 3rd August 2010
Pursuant to the provisions of the Associations Incorporation Act (Rules as varied), notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Victorian GUM Inc. (Genealogists Using Microcomputers) will be held in the Meeting Room of the Genealogical Society of Victoria Inc., Level B1, 257 Collins Street, Melbourne,
at 6.45pm on Tuesday, 3rd August 2010.
ITEMS OF BUSINESS
- To confirm the minutes of the last Annual General
Meeting.
- To receive and consider the Financial reports of the
Association as at and for the year ended 30th June 2010
in accordance with the Associations Incorporation Act
1981, and the Reports of the Committee of Management and Auditor.
- To elect the Officers of the Association and the
Committee of Management for the coming year. All
present Committee members retire in accordance with Rules 21 and
22 of the Association. In accordance with custom all
committee members may offer themselves for re-election
unless otherwise indicated.
- To hold an election to fill the positions of
President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and
four additional Committee Members. Nominations for any
position as an Officer or Committee Member of the
Association are invited from current members.
- To transact any other business which may legally be
brought before the meeting.
Note: Nominations for the positions
must be made in writing, signed by two Association members,
accompanied by the written consent of the candidate (which may be endorsed on the form of nomination), and
delivered to the Secretary, Victorian GUM Inc., PO Box 375,
Flinders Lane, Victoria 8009, not later than
4pm, Tuesday 27th July 2010.
Nominees and nominators must be current
members, either financial or complimentary members, of the
Association. Nomination forms may be obtained from the
Secretary or download a copy (in PDF format) from the VicGUM Web site. If insufficient nominations are received to fill all vacancies, nominations for those positions without a nomination can be made at the Annual General Meeting.
